Cleaning of plush toys

Method 1:

Required materials: One bag of coarse salt (large-grained salt) and one plastic bag

Put the dirty plush toy into a plastic bag, add an appropriate amount of coarse salt, then tie the opening and shake it vigorously. After a few minutes, the toy was clean. Let's take a look and see that the salt had turned black.

Remember: It's not washing, it's sucking!! It can also be used for plush toys of different lengths, fur collars and cuffs. It can also be used for car seat cushions (just pour salt onto the cushion and rub it vigorously), which was introduced in the "Home Tips" program before.

Principle: It takes advantage of the adsorption effect of salt, namely sodium chloride, on dirt. As table salt has a strong disinfection effect, it not only cleans toys but also effectively kills bacteria and viruses. By analogy, small items such as plush collars and plush cushions in cars can also be "cleaned" in this way.

Method 2:

Required materials: Water, silk and wool detergent, soft-bristled brush (or other tools as substitutes are also acceptable)

Put water and silk and wool detergent in a basin. Stir the water in the basin with a regular soft-bristled brush or other tools to create rich foam. Then, use a soft-bristled brush dipped in the foam to clean the surface of the plush toy. Be sure not to get too much water on the brush. After brushing the surface of the plush toy clean, wrap it in a bath towel and put it in a basin filled with clean water for pressure washing.

This can thoroughly remove the dust and detergent inside the plush toys. Then put the plush toy into a basin of water with fabric softener and soak it for a few minutes appropriately. After that, press and wash it several times in a basin of water filled with clean water until the water in the basin changes from turbid to clear. Wrap the cleaned plush toys in a bath towel and gently spin them in the washing machine. After dehydration, shape and comb the plush toys and then place them in a well-ventilated area to dry.

When drying, it should be done in a well-ventilated area. It is best not to expose it to direct sunlight or not to it at all, as it cannot kill bacteria without it. Exposure to the sun is prone to discoloration.

Method 3:

It is more suitable for larger-sized plush toys

Buy a bag of baking soda, put the baking soda and the dirty plush toy into a large plastic bag, tie the bag opening tightly and shake it vigorously. You will gradually find that the plush toy becomes clean. Finally, the soda powder turns grayish black due to absorbing dirt and grime. Just take it out and shake off the soda powder. This method is more suitable for large-sized plush toys and plush toys that can make sounds.

Method 4:

It is more suitable for electronic and sound-making plush toys

To prevent the small accessories on the plush toys from wearing out, stick the accessory parts of the plush toys with tape, put them in a laundry bag and wash them by rubbing. After spinning dry, hang them in a cool place to air dry. When drying, you can gently pat the plush toy to make its fur and filling fluffy and soft. In this way, the shape of the plush toy after cleaning will also be better restored to its original state.

When washing with water, we usually add an appropriate amount of detergent to the clear water for disinfection. While washing with water, you can also add an appropriate amount of laundry detergent or liquid detergent for disinfection to achieve the functions of antibacterial and mite-proof.
